Vodacom Easter Fever set to rock KZN's North and South Coasts
The eighth annual Vodacom Easter Fever beach festival is set to rock Margate's Main Beach and Ballito's Willards Beach over the upcoming Easter weekend (22 - 25 April). With an action -packed programme, and activities for the whole family to enjoy, the two picturesque KwaZulu Natal North and South Coast towns will surely prove to be popular long weekend destinations for both locals and holidaymakers alike.
Highlights of the two Vodacom Easter Fever programmes include the Discovery Futbal Feva 3 on 3 Series in the Discovery Inflatable Arena, Coca Cola Beach Volleyball, Vodacom Beach Touch Rugby and the perennial favourite - the Vodacom Miss Easter Fever beauty pageant.
Both the Margate and Ballito venues will also boast a large and fully equipped stage on the beach, which will feature all day DJ's, MC's and music. Event organizer Rowan Clelland said that "all sporting activities will be situated in the Main Arena directly in front of the stage, and as such we expect that all beachgoers will really be able to take advantage of what is sure to be an energetic, interactive and fun weekend on some of our province's most popular beaches".
Apart from the activities mentioned above, beachgoers will also be able to catch the Diski Dancers jiving to an African rhythm, as well as limbo pole competitions, sand castle building event and fashion shows, as well as heaps of giveaways.
Vodacom KZN's Managing Executive Alberts Breed said that "the Vodacom brand is inspiring, colourful and continually staying one step ahead of the game, and this most easily seen in our new red logo. Whilst the change in colour is important, it is really indicative of larger shifts in the way that Vodacom approaches innovation and business. Events such as the Vodacom Easter Fever therefore provide an ideal opportunity for our present and future customers to enjoy the festivities".
Breed also said that "the longevity of the Vodacom Easter Fever event is proof that it has become a most popular fixture in KZN's Easter Weekend celebrations. The two locations, in Margate and Ballito, will most definitely be the preferred South and North Coast locations for many people this Easter weekend, and we are proud to be able to contribute to the enjoyment of both locals and holidaymakers over this festive period."
