David is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Impala Platinum Holdings Limited (Implats) and board member of numerous unlisted subsidiaries of Impala. He held the position of Financial Director and Chief Financial Officer of Impala from 1999 to 2006 when he was made Chief Executive Officer. David is the Chairman of Zimplats Holdings Limited, an ASX listed platinum group metals producer. He served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Simmer & Jack Limited until 2011.David was appointed to the Vodacom Group Board in January 2012.
